Our Vision

The focus of our project is an extensive garden park that will include an orchard, an arboretum, flower gardens, and community and demonstration gardens. The park and gardens will be located on a portion of the base property that represents one of the most naturally beautiful, and undeveloped properties in the region and is abutted by Casco Bay and natural woodlands. Through our efforts in 2007, we have been able to influence the post base closure zoning of the space we seek to be for passive recreational use, protecting this space from the pressures of industrial or residential uses.
